500 word summary
500 Word Summary
So far I am about half done with my pre production.
I am having trouble getting my video block together because the footage is being odd in After Effects. I am considering using Final Cut to get it done. Personally dislike video blocks.
I have finished my thumbnails and I am nearly complete with my storyboards. I can only do a few at a time before my fingers and wrist start feeling sore.
I need to get scanning when I can, I don’t have a scanner at home so I need to do scanning when I am in room 2.05. I will hopefully finish my storyboards before week 13.
I need to throw together my Animatic, also need a rough sound track to go with it, I can make it in garage band when I get a chance. I am working on my 4 layout sheets. I need to find a colour printer that doesn’t cost money because I have none left on my account. I also need to get myself a binder book to fit my stuff into the animation bible thing.
I have one character rotation done as well as concept art. I need to do the character rotation of the Trickster when I can. I don’t think I need to do a comparison chart since neither of them are in the one shot at the same time. I can get a mood board together no worries. I have done expression sheets for both characters. I have extreme detailed character art as a reference but as a character in an animation, they will be simpler – refer to my character rotations. Problems I have had are the programs crashing randomly. The computer technology is shockingly bad (the macs are good though) having other assignments to do on top of our stuff (like the teddy bear green screen stuff and now the rocket ship green screen), I have been backing up on a regular basis and will be doing more when I get home tonight.
Things that are stopping me are my outside commitments are my band, we have shows every week and rehearsals every week. I am also an insomniac and I feel tired and unenergetic 95% of the time. Also spending a good 45 minutes travelling home on a bus gets rather tiring after a long day so when I get home I feel a need to sit down then I lose all motivation to stand up and get work done again.
My laptop at home doesn’t have the necessary programs like Photoshop and After Effects and Flash, for some reason my dad bought the computer with out the typical Macbook programs…not sure why he bought it if he didn’t need those programs. I have an extremely short attention span – its difficult to focus on anything for more than 30 seconds without getting bored and losing concentration.
I am also not a fan of drawing at all (Neale, I know you are questioning why I’m doing the course!) but I persevere and do what I can. I am hoping things are finished by the time the due date is.

I hate teddy bears!

Needing to get model sheets, moodboards and other concept art.
Most of my time has been taken up by the Teddy Bear animation that we have to do for Darren, because I've had so many issues with that and its apparently mandatory, most of my time has gone into that.
These computers are crap! Every time I put a sequence into aftereffects, the program crashes, these computers are slow, the programs are bad and they take forever where they shouldn't.
